Registrant Email Verification Settings

As previously announced in the special notification sent out on December 11, 2013 you will have the possibility of configuring specific settings for the "Registrant Verification Emails" which will get sent out commencing January 2014.

As of this Friday December 20, 2013 you can edit these settings by logging into the control panel and by proceeding to "Manage Account > My Settings > Domain Settings".

Under "Registrant Verification Email Branding" you will be permitted to brand the following elements:

 

Price Decrease for .CH/.LI Domains - January 1, 2014

HEXONET was recently informed by the .CH/.LI registry of a price decrease for .CH/.LI domains.  Therefore, as of January 1, 2014, the prices of .CH/.LI domains are changing:

 

.EU Eligibility Extends to 3 Additional Countries January 8, 2014 

Residents, companies and organisations based in the European Economic Area (EEA) countries of Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway will soon qualify to register .EU domain names like their standard EU counterparts starting on January 8, 2014.

This decision by the European Commission follows up on the provision contained in the original .EU regulation (EC 733/2002), which foresaw the extension of .EU to the European Economic Area.

“We welcome this positive development which has been in the air for some time,” commented the .EU registry’s General Manager Marc Van Wesemael. “The more countries and businesses that benefit from .EU’s unique identity, the stronger its brand becomes.  Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway have had close economic ties with the European Union since the Community’s early years. Granting them access to the .eu top-level domain is a natural step forward in that relationship ... Our annual research shows that .EU is seen as a reliable and valuable online label. We are confident that the companies and residents of these countries will soon appreciate the advantages of the .EU TLD, including the strong security procedures for its management and databases.”

.NET Price Increase - February 1, 2014

VeriSign announced that they will be increasing the annual price for .NET domains starting February 1, 2014.

We recommend renewing any domains ahead of this price increase.  .NET domains can be renewed now or at any point in time for time.  Renewals can be for 1 to 9 years.

 

Price Increases for .CX and .TL Domains

On December 9th, 2013, HEXONET received notice from CoCCa announcing major price increases for .CX and .TL domains commencing January 1, 2014.  No additional information was provided as to the reason.  Therefore, starting January 1, 2014, the following price changes take effect:
